The new Entry and Residence Scheme offers 10 types of entry visas with simplified requirements and more benefits. New visas require no host or sponsor, offer more flexibility, multi-entry, 60 days validity, and one unified platform to apply at.
10 types of entry visas:
1. Tourism (Tourist and Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa)
2. Visit Relatives or Friends
3. Temporary Work Mission
4. Explore Job Opportunities
5. Explore Business Opportunities
6. Medical Treatment
7. Diplomatic Affairs
8. Study or Training
9. Emergency
10. GCC Residents
“All entry visas are available for single or multiple-entry and can be renewed for similar periods and are valid for 60 days from their issuance date. The new system of entry and residence aims at attracting and retaining global talents and skilled workers from all over the world. ” ~UAE Government Media Office
🟣Family Member sponsorship
A parent can now sponsor a male child to the age of 25 years, up from 18, and an unmarried daughter indefinitely.
Children with disabilities are granted a residence permit permanently, regardless of their age.
The Green visa residence holder is allowed to bring any first-degree relative into the country, and, in all cases, the residency of family members shall be of the same duration as the original residence holder.
🟣Golden Visa
The system will also be expanded, while new entry visas to make it easier for job seekers, particularly graduates, to visit the country will be available. Skilled professionals on salaries of Dh30,000 ($8,100) a month or more will find it easier to gain a Golden Visa.
🟣Green visas for:
📍Skilled employees and freelancers
A new track that provides a five-year residency for skilled employees, without a sponsor or employer. The minimum educational level must be a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and the salary should not be less than Dh15,000.
📍Investor or partner
This residence is introduced to encourage investment. It provides a five-year residency for investors establishing or participating in commercial activities. It replaces the previous residence that was valid for two years.
