Masdar Free Zone is now offering a Dual License Project – an agreement between Masdar Free Zone and Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED).
Wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi government’s Mubadala Investment Company, Masdar is supporting the UAE’s transition towards a knowledge-based economy. A catalyst for renewable energy development in the Arab world over the past decade, Masdar is demonstrating how the business community can deliver on the global sustainability agenda.
Only LLC companies can avail this service. Packages start from Virtual Office option, that allows up to 2 business activities and 2 employment visas eligibility and up depending on the size of the premises you choose.
With the rule, that all free zones are facilitated to operate only internationally or inside the free zone, previously all free zone companies to be able to provide services in mainland, should have open branch in Abu Dhabi DED, lease an office and make an agreement with local service agent.
Now with Dual License Project, once the company had registered, an NOC will be provided to open a branch in Abu Dhabi DED based on the Masdar Free Zone License, DED will then follow your location This will allow you to work in Abu Dhabi City mainland and will no longer require to rent an office outside Masdar Free Zone and no local sponsorship required as well.
What is more, ACTVET (Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training) recognizes such dual licensing and allows to set up a training center that can operate and provide services in Abu Dhabi City mainland.
This option can be especially beneficial for the training centers that provide online training in HR Development areas; such activities as Human Resource Training and Development, e-Training Centre, Content Development Centre can be established in Masdar Free Zone with further licensing in Abu Dhabi DED and ACTVET, and all based on Virtual Office in Masdar and without local sponsorship in mainland.
