We are growing and looking for an Accountant who will be responsible for managing and supporting the Finance Department with a broad range of internal financial reporting and external client accounting and tax functions. This is a role within the finance team to support the continued growth of the operations and to provide valuable input to support strategic management decisions.

The successful candidate should have a strong analytical and curious mindset with the technical ability to streamline processes. Able to maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Maintain timely and accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, variance analysis, and review monthly financial results and variance reports.
  • Prepare all supporting documentation required for the annual audit.
  • Oversee the bookkeeping function, including the maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, and cash management.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure effective liquidity management.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure accounting systems and processes are properly documented and kept up to date.
  • Oversee client accounting services, ensuring the delivery of accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial consulting services.
  • Maintain financial records for client projects and prepare accurate and timely management reports.
  • Manage client invoicing, payment processing, and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections and accurate financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, Corporate Tax requirements, and other applicable statutory obligations.
  • Prepare, review, and file VAT and Corporate Tax returns for clients in accordance with UAE regulations and statutory deadlines.
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements in the UAE, providing guidance and training to team members and clients where required.
  • Consult with corporate clients and provide professional advice on accounting principles, VAT regulations, Corporate Tax, and other financial compliance matters.

Education: Degree in Accounting/ Finance, Professional Certificates (ACCA/CFA/CMA/CIMA)

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of UAE experience in accounting or finance.
  • Exceptional Knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax

Skills:

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
  • Adaptability
  • Excellent attention to detail and Time management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Negotiation
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excellent in Excel)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books).
  • Understanding of Accounting and Tax rules, local and international.
