The IDL is a document under the United Nations convention, a legal requirement and internationally recognized translation of your UAE driving license which allows motorists to drive their cars outside of the UAE legally, without any further tests and applications.

  • The International Driving License, which is valid for 1 year, proves that you hold a valid driver’s license in the country of residence
  • It will protect you and your family in the unfortunate case of an accidental vehicle damage while being abroad, or the loss of legal identification document (for example: passport)

The procedure for IDL application is quick and straightforward:
