Are you in UAE? Do you have a driving license? Here is how you can obtain an International Driving License! Step-by-Step process – SIMPLE & ONLINE!
The IDL is a document under the United Nations convention, a legal requirement and internationally recognized translation of your UAE driving license which allows motorists to drive their cars outside of the UAE legally, without any further tests and applications.
- The International Driving License, which is valid for 1 year, proves that you hold a valid driver’s license in the country of residence
- It will protect you and your family in the unfortunate case of an accidental vehicle damage while being abroad, or the loss of legal identification document (for example: passport)
- The IDL is recognized all over the world and is available in 10 different languages
- The primary function of the IDL is to allow law enforcement and other authorities in other countries to read your license in their own language
The procedure for IDL application is quick and straightforward:
- Go to https://www.atcuae.ae/request-license/
- Complete the required information (4 steps) in the application
- Pay with your credit/debit card online. The IDL can be delivered to you via courier or you may collect it in person from their Dubai branch.
