Companies established in the UAE of any size or type can use the “Made in UAE”, mark to effectively market their products to consumers, businesses, and individuals who prefer buying products produced locally and manufactured in the UAE.
Here’s the step-by-step process on how to obtain the “Made in UAE” mark and also the mark usage guide.
How to obtain a “MADE IN UAE” mark certificate?
1 | Service Description | “Made in UAE” is a unified national mark that classifies and recognizes the products/goods manufactured in the UAE as per the agreed terms and conditions. The mark can be printed, fixed, attached, or engraved on the licensed products and goods. The mark can be used for any advertisement or promotion purposes for licensed products/goods only. |

MARK USAGE GUIDE
The “Made in UAE” mark is a powerful tool that helps large, medium, and small establishments effectively promote their products/goods to consumers; government, businesses, and individuals with a preference for acquiring products and goods locally manufactured. The mark should always be used accurately, appearing prominently on licensed products and in any promotional material related directly to those products/goods.
ADDING VALUE TO YOUR PRODUCTS
License holders can maximize the benefit of the mark by using it confidently and broadly on registered products and all promotional methods relating to:
- Advertising & promotion means and websites
- Media releases and newsletters
- Product packaging
- Point of sale
- Tender documents

THE MARK
The “Made in UAE” mark is a formal, trusted, and recognized symbol which proves the product is manufactured in the UAE. The mark can only be used on products/goods registered with the Ministry of Economy. It is not permitted to be re-drawn or changed in any way under any circumstances. License holders are also not allowed to modify the graphic proportions of the mark or its individual components.
The imitation of the mark is prohibited on any product or means of advertising and promotion relating to it.
License holders are granted access to the mark in EPS and JPG files available on the ministry website.
MARK COLORS AND CLEAR SPACE
License holders are asked to use the same colors and maintain the clear space sizes as shown in the below mark illustration.
No graphic or text elements are allowed in the mark’s clear (white) space – this includes your company logo and/or brand logo. The description must be always in its original position under the mark directly in order to maintain the correct identity of the mark.

MINIMUM SIZE
There is no recommended minimum size for the mark, yet it should be large enough so that the words are legible. When applying for the mark certificate, provide a copy of the artwork to the Ministry of Economy.
DO’S & DON’TS
DO
- Print, fix, attach or engrave the mark on the licensed products or on its outer packaging
- Use the logo in all marketing materials directly related to registered products only (advertising, websites and communication material such as brochures)
- Inform the Ministry of Economy in case of any amendment to the registered products
DON’T
- Use the mark for unregistered products/goods
- Use the mark without a descriptor
- Amend or produce any alteration, addition to the colors or diminutions of the mark of any kind
- Utilize the mark to make general statements about your company or product range when only some of your products are registered to use the mark (i.e. websites, tender documents, etc.)
- Place your own logo/brand or any other elements within the mark’s clear (white) space
- Use the mark as part of your company logo
- Use the mark in an offensive manner that is degrading the mark’s value
- Combine registered and unregistered products/goods in the same advertisements and promotions
- Use the mark without obtaining the certificate, after the expiry of its validity period, during the period of suspension of its use or after its cancellation
