Many changes have been implemented over the years and the biggest amendment has a great impact on all non-citizens of the UAE. The Abu Dhabi Tajer license is also available for foreign owners, and for most of the activities, no Local Partner / Sponsor is required. Here are the requirements you need for renewal or liquidation of the Tajer License.
Initially, Abu Dhabi Tajer license was limited to just UAE Nationals and 100 business activities without a physical presence. However, the list of activities has increased to more than 1,000, most of which do not require a physical presence, similar to Dubai’s DED Instant license.
The Tajer license is under the Abu Dhabi Mainland jurisdiction that is commonly known as an onshore company which falls under the UAE Federal Commercial Companies law regulation. Hence, the Tajer license allows the company to operate without any limitation of operational jurisdiction including UAE. (In some cases, it is mandatory to obtain a permit to operate in specific Emirates or jurisdictions).
How to renew Abu Dhabi Tajer License?
The procedure for renewal of the Tajer license can be processed through an online platform and requires minimum documentation and input.
What are the requirements required to renew the Abu Dhabi Tajer license?
- Copy of Tajer license
- UAE Pass of the license holder
- Emirates ID
- E-channel login details
The government has advised that all Abu Dhabi license holders register for an immigration e-channel account and an immigration card. Failure to register the e-channel and the immigration card under the AD license will result in a fine, however, any applicable fines will only be determined when the immigration card is activated.
Additionally, as per the Abu Dhabi Immigration, the partner in the license must register his/her visa under his/her company registered in Abu Dhabi. This rule is exempted if the visa is already registered as a golden visa or partner visa.
What are the documents required for liquidation of the Abu Dhabi Tajer License?
The liquidation or cancellation of the Tajer license – LLC structure of the company requires the following documents:
- Tajer license copy
- Certificate of Acceptance of the Liquidator
- Meeting minutes on the Liquidation of the Company
- Passport copy, Visa copy, Emirates ID copy of all partners in the license
- Immigration card copy of the company
- Company labor card copy or labor number if the license registered in the *MoHRE
- Copy of *MOA
- Original E-signature card of the signing authority in the *MoHRE
- Audit report
- Clearance certificates from customs (trading activities only)
- E-channel login details
Additional documents might be required at the discretion of the Government Authorities.
As long as no penalties or cases are pending, the license liquidation procedure will be fast and easy.
Depending on the business activity, clearance certificates from external government authorities will be required.
Note:
- All visas registered under the company license must be canceled before the company liquidation procedure.
- Notice of company liquidation must be published in two local newspapers will be. The notice gives any debtors 45 days from the date of issue to submit their claims.
- After the company liquidation process is finalized, the license cannot be reactivated again.
